Five Easy Apps for any Occasion

Whether you’re planning on hosting your friend’s surprise birthday party, or your family is coming over to finally check out your new apartment, having great food ready to serve is a must. We have come up with some mouth-watering appetizers that will definitely wow your friends and family. All super easy and prepared in under 30 minutes.

Meatball Parm Bites

  1. Mix ground beef, bread crumbs, egg, parsley, minced garlic, and 1/4 cup of parmesan in a bowl. Add some salt and pepper and mix thoroughly. Roll into little balls.
  2. In a frying pan over medium heat, brown the meatballs on all sides until crispy.
  3. Remove the meatballs and add marinara sauce, some garlic, and parmesan to the pan.
  4. Once simmering, add the meatballs back in. Cover with a lid and simmer for 10 minutes.
  5. Place a slice of mozzarella on each ball and heat until melted.
  6. Serve with a basil leaf and a toothpick in each meatball.

Pesto Bruschetta

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Slice a white baguette and place the slices on a baking sheet, baking until golden brown.

For the pesto:

  1. In a food processor, combine 2 cups of basil leaves, 3 garlic cloves, 1/2 cup of parmesan, 1/2 cup extra virgin olive oil, 1/3 cup of pine nuts, and salt and pepper to taste. Blend until smooth.
  2. When the bread is out of the oven, top with some goat cheese and spread the pesto on top.

Brie and Proscuitto skewers

  1. Slice brie and Granny Smith apples into cubes.
  2. Layer grape, arugula, brie, prosciutto, and apple club onto a skewer.
  3. Optionally drizzle with some honey.

Tuna Cucumber Bites

  1. Slice a cucumber into bite sizes.
  2. Mix 1/4 cup of mayo, 4 oz of drained tuna, smoked paprika, garlic powder, and salt and pepper in a bowl.
  3. Place the tuna mix onto the cucumber slices and top with some chill flakes for extra spice.

Caprese Salad Skewers

  1. Layer cherry tomatoes, mozzarella balls, and fresh basil leave on cocktail skewers.
  2. Sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  3. Optionally drizzle with olive oil and balsamic vinegar.
